Snowen Sound Frolics is an active family-friendly experience that allows residents and visitors to explore a variety of Owen Sound’s natural and built amenities.
Following a successful 2022 event, Snowen Sound Frolics is returning to Owen Sound in February.
The event begins Wednesday, Feb. 1, and runs through the month of February, highlighting nine outdoor landmarks throughout our 1.4 million+ square meters of outdoor recreation space.
How it works:
- Watch the City’s Tourism Social Media channels for weekly releases of locations: Owen Sound Tourism Events and Attractions on Facebook, @cityowensound on Instagram and @OSTourism on Twitter
- Snap a photo with each of the nine various Snowen Sound Frolics Signs and collect the code word listed on each of the signs.
- Share your photos to social media using #SnowenSound; once all the code words are found, piece them together to create the secret Snowen Sound Frolics sentence. (These photos are from last year, so don't think you can just stay inside and win the contest!)
Those who share photos from all nine #SnowenSound locations and decode the secret sentence will be entered for a chance to win one of two Snowen Sound Frolics #hyperlocal Grand Prizes. The prizes are valued at $500 each. The winners will be announced after the four-week campaign.
Additional weekly giveaways will take place for those who like, comment and share their photos throughout the campaign. Bonus giveaways will be announced over Family Day weekend. Additional Snowen Sound Frolics information is available on the City’s Tourism Website.
