Sunday’s third annual South Bruce County Classic Car Tour was a big success.  The special fund raising event for Crime Stoppers of Grey Bruce drew over 70 cars to the Paisley Palace Park on Sunday, June 26th, 2022.

The event, which raised over $700, also featured a back country tour of southern Bruce County with a shotgun start from Sauble Beach, Kincardine, Chesley and Port Elgin.  A day forecast to be partly cloudy turned into a comfortable and sunny Sunday afternoon.  Refreshments were supplied by two local Paisley businesses; Tomboi Ice Cream and Low and Slow Barbecue.

Pat Finnigan of Sauble Beach was the Crime Stopper's 50/50 Draw winner with a take home prize of $92.00.  The big winners, however, were the car owners and local residents who enjoyed the walk down automotive memory lane.

Crime Stoppers organizers are planning two more events for the Summer.  On Sunday July 31st, they will host the third annual "Bruce Peninsula Run" which will see Classic car owners take a circle tour from Sauble Beach to Lion's Head and back to the Wiarton Keppel International Airport for an afternoon public showing of their vehicles.

On September 25th they will present a "Classic Car Cavalcade of Colour" tour around the backroads of Keppel Township.  This event will culminate in a car show at the Grey Roots Museum.
