  • So great to be at home this weekend!! The Owen Sound MACKINNON PLUMBING HEATING U11A girls team split their league play games in Owen Sound on Sunday.  The team was shut out in their first game against Oakville 8-0, but was ready for a comeback in their second game. The team defeated Burlington in an exciting 5-3 final, with Olivia Wagner and Quinn Norton both scoring 2 goals and Lyla Doyle scoring one.  Assists by Quinn Norton, Reese Harvey, and Adeline Lemon. The girls would like to thank all of the organizers and volunteers who helped make the home weekend fantastic!!!  The team is next in action Sunday, June 12th in Orangeville.
  • The U11B Sunbelt Rentals showed off their skills  this weekend at their hometown games with 2 wins!Game 1 had a score of 6-0 over Burlington 2. Goals scored by Hana Carr (2) one assist from Adele Ferguson. Single goals from Isla McGregor, Adele Ferguson, Tessa Matheson and Sophie Burnett-Scott Their 2nd match was up against KW2 with a 3-1 win! Single goals from Tessa Matheson, Hana Carr and Adele Ferguson  Thank you to our volunteers and organizers for a great weekend Looking forward to our next weekend of play in Orangeville.

  • Ou13ajun06 01ur hometown games saw 2 BIG wins for the U13A Legacy Ridge Golf Club. Kicking off the first matchup against Orillia was a 6-2 win. Goals scored by Lily Shute(3), Leah Cooper(2) and a single by Ella Todd. Keeping the momentum going, the girls shut out Orangeville 1 with a 13-0 win. Goals scored by Lily Shute(3), London Doyle(2), Ally Scott(2). Singles from Avery Seaman, Megan Nissen, Leah Cooper, Rory Jex, Caitlin Tran and Avery Thompson. Looking forward to our next matchup in Orangeville. Huge thanks to the volunteers and organizers for an awesome weekend in Owen Sound!
  • u13bjun06 01The Owen Sound Berner Contracting U13B girls ended their hometown tournament weekend with 2 wins. A strong showing for their first game against Newmarket 2, the girls rallied from behind to take a 5-3 win. Goal scorers were: Jenna Cranny (2), Addison McCoubrey (2), and Molly Klunder. The second game was against Mimico and the girls ended with a 9-2 win. Goals scored by: Scarlett Stevenson, Molly Klunder, Jenna Cranny (4), Ava Ward and Addison McCoubrey (2). A strong showing in net for both games was Hailey Frede. Well done to the entire team! Thank you to the volunteers and organizers for making this happen at home! The team is next in action in Orangeville on June 12th.
  • u15ajun06 01Owen Sound Women’s Field Lacrosse hosted their first weekend since 2018 at the Kiwanis Soccer Complex. The Owen Sound Krueger Custom Steel North Stars under 15 girls played their first game against St. Catherine’s, and lost 10-1. The only goal was scored by Ryann Seaman. The N’Stars fought hard in game two and never let up, with tough defense, quick passes and aggressive stick checks, the team came out with the win 9-8 over Orangeville. Goals scored by Hannah Davies (5), Bree Wilkins (2), Ryann Seaman (1) and Taryn Weppler (1). A strong showing in net in both games by Mykah Harris. The Owen Sound (1) Krueger Custom Steel U15 are back in action on June 11th in Orangeville. The team would like to give a big shout out to trainer, Brandon Stauffer for all his hard work organizing our hosting event.
  • u15bjun06 01The U15B Transcontinental RBW Graphics Owen Sound Girls Lacrosse team hosted their first OWFL weekend since 2018.  The team first faced a strong aggressive team from First Nations.  After a tough start the girls battled back and we able to defeat First Nations 9-5. Goals scored by Leah Cooper (3), adding singles were Emily Rourke, Rory Jex, Addison McCoubrey, Avery Seaman and Ainsley Smith. The team faced Mimico for their second match.  The girls were able to compete the whole game with tough battles, fast rushes, and aggressive stick checks, but fell short 11-6.  Goals scored by Grace Routenburg-Evans (2), singles were added by Noelle Brewster, , Emily Rourke, Avery Seaman and Lauren Neil. Marly Woodhouse played outstanding in net for both games stopping a huge number of shots.The U15B Transcontinental RBW Graphics Owen Sound Girls Field Lacrosse team is back in action this Saturday June 11th, in Orangeville.
  • u19ajun06 01The Owen Sound U-19 Creative Playgrounds Women’s Field Lacrosse team played back to back games Friday night and finished 1 and 1 on the evening. The girls faced Oakville in game one and had strong offensive performances. Attacker Tara Meikle led the team in scoring with 5 goals, Kennedy Stauffer 4, Jill Goldie 2, and singles from Kennedy Coghlin, Karly Low, Courtney Scott and Brooklyn Doyle. The North stars downed the Lady Hawks with a final score of 15-10. Goalie Gillian Warren made some great saves during the match earning her the teams player of the game. The North Stars fell to the Oshawa Lady Blue knights in game two. At half time the North stars were only down by a goal, but couldn’t maintain their offensive pace in the second half. Oshawa defeated Owen Sound with a final score of 19-10. Tara Meikle, Kennedy Stauffer, Jillian Goldie and Taryn Lee each scored two, with singles from Courtney Scott and Dani Strong. Congratulations to Laine Nissen for earning the teams player of the game with her hard work at both ends of the field. The team will take the field again on Friday June 10th, for back to back games in Acton starting at 7:00 pm against Toronto Beaches.
  • The Owen Sound European Bakery U19 2 girls lost two games in Ontario’s Women’s Field Lacrosse league play Saturday at the Kiwanis Soccer Complex. The team lost to Mimico 17-3 with Edyn Beyer scoring 3 goals. In their second matchup, Owen Sound lost11-2 to Oshawa. Northstars goals were scored by Edyn Beyer and Maddie Linklater. The team is next in action Saturday, June 11th in Orangeville.
