Read his story and then head on over to Kraft Hockeyville to lend your support.

1. Tell us about your community’s spirit as well as its passion for hockey. Can you describe examples of how this came to life?

Owen Sound is such a great place to live, raise a family and is blessed with an amazing variety of activities for everyone from the very young to the young at heart. We have such a diverse group of citizens here that are all proud of our little city on the bay and we show it every chance we get. There is something here for everyone including world class fishing, hiking, cross country skiing, baseball, lacrosse and of course hockey! The Owen Sound Attack of the OHL calls our beautiful city home and we show our support to "our" team in many ways from posters in windows to screaming fans at the home games, we have even named all our minor league hockey teams the Jr.Attack.

2. Tell us about your arena. Why is it important to your community and how would the $250,000 be best used to upgrade the arena?

The Harry Lumley Bayshore Community Center is home to our Owen Sound Attack as well as many of our minor hockey and lacrosse teams. It's a great arena for all of us to come and show our pride and support for all our hockey and lacrosse teams. It is located right on the shores of beautiful Georgian Bay and is the go to place to watch our favorite sport, which of course is hockey! It's a great arena and we take great pride in it but I'm sure a little bit of a facelift and some upgrades would make cheering on our teams even better.

3. Why should your community be the next Kraft Hockeyville?

Owen Sound would be the perfect community for Kraft Hockeyville to come visit because of all our great fans of hockey and many other sports Owen Sound is proud to support. We have a long and proud history in so many sports, producing some world class athletes from many different sporting backgrounds. Champion skiers, hockey and lacrosse players who have gone on to play at the highest levels of the game, one of the best windmill baseball pitchers in the world and many others. Come enjoy our beautiful city for yourselves and join us as we celebrate this game of hockey that we all love so much.
