leavesDue to the current requirements for social distancing and in accordance with the Provincial order under the Emergency Measures Act, the Municipality of Meaford’s Leaf and Yard Waste Depot will be closed until further notice.

“We are required to have staff onsite to operate our leaf and yard waste depot” said Director of Infrastructure Services Tori Perejmybida. “Our focus is on keeping our essential services operating, and at this time we feel that allowing leaf and yard waste drop-off to continue would lead to unnecessary risk for our Environmental Services staff as well as our residents.”

We ask that you store your leaf and yard waste properly until it is considered safe for the Municipality to reopen the leaf and yard waste depot. Staff are continuing to monitor the situation and ensure that the Municipality complies with Provincial orders during this time.

As the situation progresses, service levels may continue to change. You can find the most up-to-date information on the Meaford Waste App on any disruptions in services. The app can be installed through the app store on Apple and Android devices, or you can sign up for notifications by email, text message, or phone call by visiting www.meaford.ca/waste.
