Grey Bruce’s largest Meal Program and Food Bank continue to join hands in the community to offer “Grey Bruce Food Share” (GBFS) – a formal partnership of OSHaRE and The Salvation Army.
OSHaRE and The Salvation Army have a long-standing relationship of providing and sharing food. During the pandemic, they took food sharing to a new level by contributing surplus food items to other charities and non-profits across Grey Bruce.
Owen Sound Fire and Emergency Services are excited to be starting a Junior Firefighter program in May of this year. This free youth training program will be open to students in grades 5 or 6 at Owen Sound Schools. Fire Department staff will be visiting students in grades 5 and 6 at Owen Sound Schools today with a registration package.

The Owen Sound Transportation Company (OSTC) will once again be supporting the Bluewater Regional Science and Technology Fair by hosting students from Grey and Bruce Counties on the iconic MS Chi-Cheemaun on April 5th and 12th. This fair is held annually for schools in Bruce and Grey Counties and reinforces the importance of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) education and training.
