Skate-Jam-regThe Owen Sound Police Service is claiming the 1st Annual Sk8 Park Jam, held in Owen Sound on Tuesday evening, a great success.

Owen Sound Police Service Community Services Officer, Constable Mike Dazé stated, "Approximately two hundred participants and observers attended at the new Kiwanis Sk8 and Bike Park to show off their skills on skateboards, scooters, and BMX bikes."

hiker-regGEORGIAN BLUFFS– On Wednesday, August 20, 2014, at approximately 9:20 p.m., Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a phone call from a hiker requesting assistance after she had become disoriented and wasn't able to find her way off the trail before it became dark.

car-door-regMEAFORD – On Tuesday, August 19, 2014, Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received several theft from vehicle reports in the Annan/Leith area of the Municipality of Meaford. Ten unlocked vehicles had been entered and items including loose change, GPSs, CDs, sunglasses, prescription glasses and a camera were stolen.

 

Owen Sound, ON – August 21, 2014 – The YMCA of Owen Sound Grey Bruce is excited to announce that they have received a $10,000 donation from the Gore Mutual Foundation. This donation is made in celebration of Gore Mutual Insurance Company's 175th anniversary. The gift will allow YMCA-Rotary Camp Presqu'ile to add to their fleet of boats.
