beauty-fullOwen Sound, ON - This Christmas, treat your family to a live performance of the classic story, Beauty and the Beast, by Sandcastle Theatre's teen Performance Group.

The Sandcastle Theatre production of Beauty and the Beast is a funny and animated adaptation of the well know story, and will be presented at St. George's Hall in Owen Sound from December 11 - 14.

Although the play offers many funny characters and moments, Beauty and the Beast holds a marvelous lesson for old and young alike - to look beyond outward appearances and see the person inside.

beauty-featbSandcastle Theatre was established in 2002 to offer young people in Grey-Bruce the opportunity to experience engaging theatre programs and performances. Since 2002, artistic director, Stephanie Fowler has worked with hundreds of young people in communities throughout the region and has brought performances to thousands more.

December 11 is a special preview performance with all proceeds going to the Canadian Mental Health's Grey Bruce FAN Club, which offers programs at schools and in communities across the region, educating youth about mental health issues. The preview performance begins at 7 pm, but audience members are welcome to join Jackie Ralph and the cast of Beauty and the Beast for carols and hot chocolate at 6:30.
