The Grey Bruce Geriatric Education Cooperative (GEC) is offering a full-day workshop on end-of-life care for health care providers in retirement homes, long term care and other facilities. Family members of persons caring for loved one who want to learn more about end-of-life care would also find this workshop of interest.
The workshop, Palliative Care: Improving The Quality of Living and Dying, will be offered on Tuesday Oct 6th at Stone Tree in Owen Sound.

The Alzheimer Society is one of several partners involved in the cooperative and this workshop is just one example of the educational opportunities organized three to four times annually by the group.
The Cooperative has been operating for 13 years. Membership includes a network of service providers, caregivers and advocates who serve the geriatric population in Grey and Bruce counties with a goal to improving skills and knowledge among those servicing the elder community.
Membership is open and it is never too late to become part of a larger voice advocating on behalf of the geriatric population.
Members also receive discounts for workshops and events put on by the cooperative.
