Hike

*****

Hike for Hospice is a national movement in Canada to build awareness of the need for hospice palliative care as well as to raise the much-needed funds to provide these services to Canadians.

ChapmanHouse logoIn our community of Grey Bruce, hospice care is provided at no cost for the residents of Chapman House and their families.

By taking part in the annual Hike for Hospice, you are helping to provide the hospice care needed by our friends and neighbors in Grey Bruce.

The Ontario government provides less than 50% of operating costs for hospices and, as such, we must raise $1.5 million annually to provide the end-of-life and palliative care our friends and neighbors need and deserve.

This year we are excited to announce the return of an in-person hike and BBQ! Since 2020, we have been hosting Hike for Hospice remotely – and we’re finally excited to see everyone back in person!

Join us on Saturday, May 27, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Harrison Park in downtown Owen Sound.

We will be exploring the multiple hiking / walking / rolling options throughout the park as well as enjoying a BBQ together. All are welcome!

Sign-ups are welcome on the morning of. Just come with your appetite, a comfy pair of shoes, and a few friends!
