Wounded Warriros Golf Classic

Local golf charity tournament raises funds for Wounded Warriors Canada.

Over 130 golfers took to the course today to raise funds and bring awareness to Wounded Warriors Canada and the many programs they offer to support Canada’s ill and injured Canadian Armed Forces members, Veterans, First Responders and their families. The 7th Annual Wounded Warriors Golf Classic, held at Legacy Ridge Golf Club, will bring the fundraising total over the $100,000 mark this year.

Major tournament sponsor Block & Stone Resource Group Inc., President and CEO Andrew Negus, with his wife Jennifer and son Austin, were on hand to present Wounded Warriors Partnerships Director, Steve Topham with a donation of $5000.

An online charity auction in conjunction with the event runs until July 29 on the Sydenham Auction web site.
