TIVERTON - To commemorate Remembrance Day, Bruce Power held a ceremony on its site to honour Canada's soldiers, veterans and those who have died in the line of duty.
The company also presented a $110,000 cheque to Wounded Warriors Canada.
"It's humbling, the courage and strength the members of our Armed Forces show every day," said Harry Hall, Vice President, Supply Chain, who is himself a veteran. "We hope this donation will make it easier for our wounded soldiers to transition back to civilian life."

COLLINGWOOD - Officers from the Collingwood and The Blue Mountains detachment of the OPP charged a youth over the weekend for a theft of a poppy donation box from a local business in Collingwood.
On Saturday morning, the 8th of November 2014, police were called to attend the Tim Horton's on First Street in Collingwood for the reported theft. Police were able to view video surveillance in the store which led police to the identification and subsequent arrest of the youth. The donation box was located by a resident nearby and returned to the Royal Canadian Legion in Collingwood.
As a result, a 14 year-old youth from Collingwood is now charged with theft under $5000 and is to appear in Youth Criminal Court in Collingwood. He cannot be identified under the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act. (YCJA).
Owen Sound – More than a dozen musicians gave their talent and time, a public facility loaned their space, a handful of volunteers kept a spontaneous initiative on track, and more than 150 people turned up to be part of the Stone Soup Concert for West Africa on Friday evening.
The event – held in the atrium of the Public Health Building near the Owen Sound harbour – smashed expectations and raised more than $7,000 for Medecins Sans Frontieres/ Doctors Without Borders: the organization on the forefront of the Ebola crisis in West Africa.
On 07 November 2014 an unknown person(s) stole a vehicle from the post office parking lot in Owen Sound sometime between 7:00am and 8:30am. The complainant did not notice that the vehicle was missing until 2:30pm. But after reporting the theft it was revealed that the stolen vehicle was involved in a theft of gas drive off from a gas station in the town of Durham shortly before 9:00am.
The vehicle is described as a 2006 Chevrolet 2500 Diesel Silverado white in colour with black on the hood and lower body. The vehicle is lifted with large snow tires and sits higher than a regular pick up.
