walletOn January 17, 2017, Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a stolen wallet from an unlocked vehicle on Sideroad 30 in the Municipality of Grey Highlands. The theft is believed to have occurred sometime between January 13 and January 14.

The victim later located his wallet in the box of his pick-up truck; minus his credit cards and various gift cards totalling $300.

This incident serves as a reminder for residents to lock their vehicles and keep valuables out of full view. Thefts from vehicles are a crime of opportunity and may be preventable.
