opp-car-fullWIARTON - The Bruce Peninsula OPP was advised of a suspicious vehicle and three persons pushing it in the Taylor Street and Elm Street area of Wiarton shortly after seven in the morning on September 5, 2014.

Police patrolled the area and located the vehicle, a black 2008 GMC Sierra pickup, plated 732 5WR at the local gas station. Police attempted to stop the vehicle after it left the gas station. The vehicle would not stop and Police engaged in a motor vehicle pursuit north of Wiarton on highway 6.

Police discontinued the pursuit north of Mar due to a construction zone, where workers were present. The descriptors of the occupants are as follows; Caucasian male driver, mid-twenties wearing a white baseball cap backwards; Caucasian female passenger front seat, late teens, shoulder length brown hair, wearing a dark colored shirt; Caucasian male, early twenties, shoulder length hair, blue jeans and a black short sleeve t-shirt.

The OPP remind the public that pursuits are strictly monitored to ensure the safety of all parties involved.
