booksHanover Public Library is pleased to announce that curbside pickup of books, movies, and audiobooks will begin the week of June 8. Pick-up sessions will take place on weekday afternoons to start. The number of sessions may be increased if needed.

• Library members can request items now, by placing holds through their on-line account, or by contacting the library by phone or e-mail. Library members who do not currently have an on-line account, and who have internet access, can contact the library to get a username and password. If requested, library staff can select items for you.

• When items are ready for pick-up, the library staff will contact you and an appointment can be set up for contactless pick-up. Staff can make the appointment for you; or you can make the appointment yourself using the on-line appointment system, which you may link to your calendar.

• All library materials will have been sanitized and quarantined for a minimum of 72 hours. Staff will observe all necessary safety precautions in handling materials.

• At the appointed pick-up time, physical distancing measures must be taken. Pick-up will take place outdoors on the east (clock tower) side of the building. Details as to the pick-up process will be provided when users are contacted.

• Returns must be made to the library drop box on the west side of the Civic Centre building. No returns will be accepted at the pick-up location.

• For more information, please contact the library by phone at (519)364-1420, or by e-mail at [email protected]. Check the website for instructions and updates at www.hanoverlibrary.ca; and follow Hanover Library on Facebook and Twitter.
