The Grey Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is hiring individuals for the cadet program.
The OPP Cadet Program focuses on enhancing the career development and experience of future OPP police constable candidates. Cadets are members who assist frontline officers with administrative duties as well as engage with communities by supporting crime prevention and public safety initiatives.
This is a role designed to enhance the career development and experience of those wishing to pursue a law enforcement career as an OPP police constable.
To be eligible to become a cadet you must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident, minimum of 18 years old, Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalency, class G or G2 licence, and no criminal record for which a pardon has not been received or an absolute/conditional discharge that has not been sealed.
Applications for the Cadet Program will be accepted beginning August 30, 2023, through and until September 13, 2023. After careful review, successful applicants will be identified for the first scheduled intake class taking place November 2023 for a two-week training course.
