Ontario Provincial Police LogoFirearms and other items stolen from a seasonal residence in Grey Highlands.

On June 19, 2018 at approximately 5:32 p.m., Grey County Ontario Provincial Police received a report of a break, enter and theft from a seasonal residence located on the West Back Line in the Municipality of Grey Highlands.

Sometime between 5:00 p.m. on June 3rd and 5:00 p.m. on June 19th, unknown person(s) forcibly entered the residence and removed a number of items, including two firearms; a Ruger 22 calibre semi-automatic rifle and a Ithaca 16 gauge pump action shotgun. Other property stolen included the following:

- laptop computer

- cigar box containing cash

- two 9" statues of "Asian Ladies"

- PlayStation 4

- a Drone, including remote control, headset and two controllers

- propane heater

- motorcycle, dirt-bike and snowmobile helmets

- chordless drill

- chainsaw, weed wacker

- motorcycle jacket

The Grey County OPP Crime Unit together with the OPP Mount Forest Forensic Identifications Services are assisting with the investigation which is ongoing.

Police are asking anyone with information which may assist, to call Grey County OPP at 1-888-310-1122. Should you wish to remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) or submit a secure web-tip at www.cstip.ca, where you may be eligible to receive a cash reward of up to $2,000.
