On December 5, 2019 at 1:30 p.m., the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a 2 vehicle collision along Bruce County Road 10 in Elderslie Township. Officers attended with Bruce County paramedics, Chesley Fire Department and a member of the West Grey Police service.

The occupants of one involved vehicle were both pronounced dead at the scene. Their identities are being withheld pending next-of-kin notification.

The occupant of the other involved vehicle was taken to a local hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

The South Bruce OPP is continuing to investigate the collision with members of the OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigation unit and the Coroner's office.

Bruce County Road 10 has been closed between County Road 19 and County Road 25 for the safety of emergency responders. Motorists are asked to respect the closure and avoid the incident area.

The investigation is in its early stages.
