It was a return to Ontario Women's Field Lacrosse ( OWFL) this weekend in Kitchener, Waterloo. The Owen Sound 1 Krueger Custom Steel U15 girls fought hard but, lost both games this opening weekend. The team lost to Oakville 12-2, scoring goals were Hannah Davies and Bree Wilkins. In their second match, Owen Sound lost 13 -1 against Orillia the only goal was scored by Katie Marshall.

  • The Owen Sound U19 Creative Playgrounds Women’s Field Lacrosse Team played their season opener in the Junior Elite Division on Friday night in Kitchener Waterloo. Owen Sound was defeated by Toronto Beaches with a final score of 10-7. Owen Sound goal scorers were Kennedy Stauffer, Jillian Goldie and Karly Low each with 2 goals and a single from Emma Bryan. Kennedy Coghlin was named the teams player of the game for her strong defensive play. 
    The team is back in action on Friday, June 3rd when they host back to back games starting at 7:00 p.m against Oakville and 8:00 p.m versus the Oshawa Lady Blue Knights at the Owen Sound Kiwanis Soccer Complex.
  • The U15B Transcontinental RBW Graphics Owen Sound Girls Lacrosse team headed to Kitchener-Waterloo for their first OWFL weekend play of the 2022 season this past week. The squad first faced a tough loss to Toronto Beaches, after a few called off goals and position changes the group was able to play a more competitive game, but was unable to come away with the win. Goals scored by Emily Rourke and Maya Good.

    The team faced Oakville for their second match. The girls were able to compete the whole game with tough battles, fast rushes, and aggressive stick checks, but fell short 8-6. Goals scored by Maya Good 3, singles were added by Adassia Clock, Ella McCoubrey and Emily Rourke. Marly Woodhouse played outstanding in net for both games stopping a ton of shots.

    The U15B  Transcontinental RBW Graphics Owen Sound Girls Field Lacrosse team is back in action this Saturday June 4th, in Owen Sound at the Kiwanis Soccer Complex.

  • The Owen Sound MacKinnon PLUMBING HEATING U11A girls team split their first two Ontario’s Women’s Field Lacrosse league play games Sunday in Kitchener Waterloo. The team defeated KW 5-4 with Keeva Fox scoring 3 goals, and Quinn Norton scoring the other 2. In their second matchup, Owen Sound lost to Orangeville 4-2. Northstars goals were scored by Adele Ferguson and Olivia Wagner. The team is next in action Sunday, June 5th when Owen Sound hosts the OWFL league play games. Come on out and cheer on all of our girls!!
  • The Owen Sound Berner Contracting U13B girls played their first tournament of the season Sunday in Waterloo. The girls faced Newmarket 1 in their first game, played hard, but fell 6-3. Goal scorers were: Addison McCoubrey and Jenna Cranny(2). They faced K-W3 in their second game and came away with a 6-1 win. Goals scorers were: Addison McCoubrey (4), Madison Walker and Ava Ward. The girls play again in Owen Sound on Sunday June 5th.
  •  The Owen Sound Sunbelt U11B Team had their first two games of the season in Waterloo.  They had 1 win and 1 loss. They held onto the 1-0 lead over Orangeville, goal scored by Adele Ferguson, from Molly Richardson.

    Their 2nd matchup, Owen Sound lost to 14-1 to Kawartha. The girls celebrated their goal from Sophie Burnett-Scott.We are looking forward to our home town games on Sunday at the Owen Sound Kiwanis Soccer fields.   Come on out to cheer on the girls!
