Baysox 24Jun23 Padres

Owen Sound's hot bats cooked the Cubs over the weekend, but everyone goes to the feast as the Baysox host the annual North Dufferin Baseball League's junior and senior All-Star Games this Saturday at Tom Williams Field.

On Sunday, July 2, In a game packed full of Baysox offence, the Sox clubbed their way to a 13-3 road victory over the Mansfield Cubs.

In the first inning Ryan McNeill launched a three-run home run deep into the forest over the left center field wall.

Kirk Gibson in the third decided it was time for his first Baysox home run sending a grand slam ball over the fence in left, leaving the fielders standing still to watch as the ball rocketed overhead.

Bryan Post joined the fun as well and continued his streak of home runs hitting a two-run blast later that same third inning, matching Kirk's mighty smack from before. The homer set Post on top of the home run leaderboard for the NDBL.

Nate Kramer pitched well securing another win in a strong starting performance, summing up a great day of baseball for the Sox.

The Baysox return home for the season series finale against Clarksburg Thursday, July 6.
