attack-white-fullThe Owen Sound Attack are set to celebrate Thanksgiving on the road, with a Northern Ontario road trip slated for this upcoming Holiday Weekend.

Three games in four nights will see the Attack travel to North Bay, Sudbury, and Sault Ste. Marie for a trio of games beginning on Thursday night.

The Attack (1-3-0, 5th Midwest Division) will go head to head with the North Bay Battalion (1-2-0, 3rd Central Division) on Thursday, Oct. 6 in a 7:00pm puck drop.

Owen Sound swept the 2015-16 season series against the Battalion and will look to get back on the winning track after dropping a 4-2 decision to the Guelph Storm in their last outing.

The Attack are powered by Petrus Palmu, who was recently named the team's Huron Tractor Player of the Week, who has two goals and four assists for six points in four games this year. Also impressing for Owen Sound is sophomore defenceman Markus Phillips, who has scored three times in the team's last two outings, which equals his output from his entire rookie season.

Owen Sound also received a roster boost ahead of the weekend road trip, in the form of Michael McNiven's return to the team.

McNiven was re-assigned to Owen Sound by the Montreal Canadiens after participating in their training camp, and will look to make his season debut on the road trip.

Thursday night's game against the Battalion, who are led into battle by Brett McKenzie and his one goal and two assists on the year, can be watched live on Rogers Local 53 and listened to live on Kia of Owen Sound/Terry's Trailer Service Bear Radio on 560 CFOS.

Owen Sound will then head to Sudbury for a Friday evening game against the Sudbury Wolves (2-2-0, 2nd Central Division) that will see Attack overager Matt Schmalz and Wolves forward Liam Dunda play their former teams for the first time since an off-season trade.

Sudbury's David Levin leads the way offensively for the Wolves and has two goals and two assists in four games, one of three players on the Wolves to have four points over the team's first four contests on the year.

The Attack will then wrap up their weekend with a Thanksgiving Sunday clash with the Greyhounds in Sault Ste. Marie, with puck drop scheduled for 2:07pm.

Sault Ste. Marie (4-1-0) is tied for the West Division lead with the Flint Firebirds and is powered by Bobby MacIntyre and his four goals and five points in the team's first five contests.

Fans can catch both Friday night's game in Sudbury, and Sunday's game in Sault Ste. Marie by listening to Fred Wallace's call on Kia of Owen Sound/Terry's Trailer Service Bear Radio on 560 CFOS. It can also be viewed live on the Ontario Hockey League's OHL Live.

Owen Sound will play their next home game on Saturday, Oct. 15 when the Kitchener Rangers come into town for a 7:30pm affair.

Tickets for that game, and all remaining Attack home games, can be purchased at the MacVicar & McComb Remax Box Office, online at www.attackhockey.com, or by calling 519-371-7452.
