attack-tickets-fullThe Owen Sound Attack will look to rebound from a disappointing road trip when their three game weekend kicks off in Kitchener on Friday, Oct. 27.

After dropping back to back games in Erie against the Otters, the Attack - now 6-3-0-2 for 14 points and 2nd in the Midwest Division - will play their first three-in-three of the year with games against the Rangers, the North Bay Battalion, and the Windsor Spitfires.

Friday night's contest at the Aud, a 7:30pm puck drop available live on Rogers Local 53 and Kia of Owen Sound/Terry's Trailer Service Bear Radio on 560 CFOS, will mark the 3rd meeting of the year between the Attack and Rangers.

Both teams have taken a win away from the other thus far int he head to head match up, with the Attack winning 4-3 in overtime on Sept. 29. Kitchener's win, a 4-1 decision, came on Thanksgiving Monday.

The Rangers enter the weekend one point up on the Attack for 1st in the Midwest Division, but their 7-5-1-0 record has seen the Blueshirts play two more games than the Bayshore Boys.

Leading the charge for the Rangers this season are wingers Adam Mascherin and Jake Henderson, both of whom have 10 points in 13 contests.

Conversely, the Attack are powered by the OHL's leading scorer in Nick Suzuki, whose 23 points in 11 games is one better than Sarnia Sting captain Jordan Kyrou's 22 points. Owen Sound rearguard Sean Durzi is still amongst the league leaders in points as well, having recorded 20 to sit in a tie for 3rd in the overall tally while leading all blueliners for points scored.

Following Friday night's contest, the Attack will return to the Bayshore to do battle with the visiting North Bay Battalion on Saturday evening.

The 7:30pm puck drop will be a reunion of sorts, with recently acquired defenceman Brady Lyle facing off against his former team for the 1st time since being acquired by Owen Sound in a trade on Sunday. Also squaring off against his old team will be Nick King, who the Attack dealt to North Bay in a separate trade on Monday, Oct. 23.

Owen Sound will then conclude their weekend with the first Investment Planning Counsel Sunday game of the year when they take on the Windsor Spitfires at 2:00pm on Sunday.

As with all IPC Sunday's, the first 200 children through the gates will receive free popcorn courtesy of the Investment Planning Counsel, while a pair of lucky kids will be the recipients of team-autographed jerseys. Fans are encouraged to bring their skates to the arena to participate in a post-game skate and autograph session with the Attack following the game.

New for this year, the Attack and IPC partnered to run a season-ticket design contest that gave children the opportunity to design the tickets for each of the five IPC Sunday Games. Chosen the winner for Sunday's game, Vaughan Coffey will be honoured during the 2nd period for his outstanding design.

Tickets for both Saturday and Sunday's games are available at the MacVicar & McComb ReMax Attack Box Office, online at, or by calling 519-371-7452.

Following each of this weekend's games, fans can take their ticket stubs up to the Bowling Alley for a free shoe rental with the purchase of a game.

The Weekend Preview is presented by Joe Tomato's, located next to the Galaxy Cinemas on the Sunset Strip. Fans will receive 50% off wings and appetizers at Joe Tomato's following each and every Attack Home Game, simply by presenting their ticket to their waiter or waitress.

This season of Attack Hockey is brought to you by Lerner's Personal Injury Lawyers and Bertrand & Muzzell Paralegal Services.
